Dressing for your shape is the key to developing your unique style. There aren’t many people that look great in everything! When you have sussed your style it will stay with you forever. You’ll stop worrying about trends and wasting money on impulse buys that you never wear.
Using my thirty years experience in dressing women of all shapes and sizes, I’m going to show you my tried and tested way to style your figure that focuses on your proportions.
Why? Well, very useful as they are, the Pear, Apple etc description doesn’t take into account the full picture and not everyone fits neatly into one category. For example my hips are bigger than my shoulders but I don’t have a defined waist and I’d definitely never be described as curvy! So not a Pear then.
First you need to identify your proportions e.g. shoulders wider than hips, short legs, large bust. Your aim is then to balance them out. For me, that’s going to town on tops and ensuring I get the right fit of jeans, skirts or trousers.
