Out Of Office

I am sorry for the lack of May and June emails but I had to take some time off– see Instagram for details. It’s good to be back though and thankfully the warm weather has arrived in the meantime–  well, sort of.  As I’m playing catch up on summer style tips I’m going to go straight in with a hot weather staple, shorts. If you are someone who breaks out into a sweat at the thought of wearing them don’t turn away just yet.  Rest assured, I’m not going to talk about Kylie style hot pants or cycling shorts – a trend I still don’t understand and no doubt we have Kim Kardashian to thank for. This season is all about smart, tailored shorts which are far more flattering. They are made in structured, woven fabrics which contour the body as opposed to cling to it. They are very versatile too and work just as well on holiday as they do for informal drinks and the office if your dress code allows. The shape is generally longer and wider than most casual shorts so you can wear them even if, like me, you feel your legs are more like Maradona’s than Madonna’s.
