Last year I finally dragged myself away from the sale rail in Sports Direct and invested in a decent pair of leggings for the gym. I know, I know, I’m late to the party on this one! My brain is still expecting 1980’s prices and stuck on wearing your old cast offs for working out. Anyway, what a revelation! No more stopping mid Pilates class to do the ‘pull up my pants’ wiggle or fighting to secure a spot in a dark corner of the gym so no one sees me do this. I only wish I had done this sooner.
If you have resolved to embark on a fitness regime this year I would urge you to update your work out gear. It does lift the spirit more than the old black leggings and oversized old t-shirt ever could. Here are three of my favourites:-

Adidas
This style is recommended specifically for running and are made from recycled polyester. They are a good fit for petite body shapes as they come in a 7/8th length.

Gymshark
This brand has shot up in popularity in recent years as their leggings are flattering, comfortable and affordable. This pair have a high-waist fit, are seam free and lightweight so great for yoga.
Gymshark Energy + Seamless Leggings – £45

Sweaty Betty
These are the leggings that I invested in which I initially bought for running before I gave it up due to injury. The website doesn’t recommend them for downward dog but I’ve used them for my Pilates class with no problems.
Sweaty Betty Zero Gravity Leggings – £95
